Ticket prices

Tickets give admission to the Regional Archaeological Museum (RAM), the Pharmacy Museum and the Treasury of Saint Catherine's Church. In other words, tickets are always for combined admission. Some restrictions may apply in special circumstances, for example if COVID measures are reinstated or if preparations are under way for new exhibitions. Tickets are available only from the museum / tourist office, located at Markt 45 in Maaseik.

Combination ticket for RAM - Pharmacy Museum - Treasury of Saint Catherine's Church:

  • Adults: €6
  • Groups of more than 8 visitors, over-65s and students: €5
  • Young people aged 8 to 18: €2
  • Children under 8: free
  • Admission is free to residents of Maaseik, holders of a Belgian museum card and ICOM members.
  • People with disabilities: €5 (holders of a companion card issued by the Province of Limburg pay €5; one essential companion is admitted free)

The Combiticket: visit five museums in the region at an attractive discount!
Our region is rich in history. As a regional museum, we find it important that you can discover this past of our region at an interesting rate! When you buy a ticket for Musea Maaseik, you will therefore receive the 'Combiticket' from 2023, which allows you to visit five other museums for half the entrance fee applicable there. Participating museums are: Museum Thorn, Maas Binnenvaartmuseum Maasbracht, Streekmuseum Stevensweert Ohé en Laak, Museum van de Vrouw Echt and Museum-Schatkamer 't Stift, Susteren

From 1 April to 31 October the museums are following the summer schedule:

RAM and Pharmacy Museum:

Monday: closed
Tuesday to Friday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday to Sunday: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Treasury of Saint Catherine's Church:

Monday: closed
Tuesday to Sunday: 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Winter schedule (2 November to 31 March):

RAM and Pharmacy Museum

Monday: closed
Tuesday to Friday: 10 a.m.
to 12 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m.
Saterday to Sunday: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Treasury of Saint Catherine's Church:

Monday: closed
Tuesday to Sunday: 1:05 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Musea Maaseik are closed on New Year’s Day (1 January), 10 March (Carnival parade), 20 May (closed in the afternoon; City Run Maaseik), 1 November (All Saints), Christmas Eve (24 December, from 2:30 p.m.), Christmas Day (25 December), Boxing Day (26 December) and New Year’s Eve (31 December, from 2:30 p.m.). During national school holidays, the Pharmacy Museum and the Regional Archaeological Museum are exceptionally open Monday.

 

Locations and route

The Musea Maaseik are located at three sites in Maaseik’s historic city centre. The Pharmacy Museum and the Regional Archaeological Museum (RAM) can be accessed via Markt 45 in the heart of Maaseik. The Treasury of Saint Catherine's Church is in the crypt of Saint Catherine’s church, Grote Kerkstraat 15 in Maaseik. This is within walking distance of the Markt.*

By bus
Take bus line 302, 211 or 45 to Maaseik-Van Eycklaan, Maaseik-Bospoort, or Maaseik-Plantage and walk 5 to 10 minutes to get to the RAM and Pharmacy Museum. Alternatively, take Arriva Nederland line 65 to its terminus at Bospoort and walk 5 minutes to get to the RAM and Pharmacy Museum. 

By car
Free parking is available at P4 (Cultuurcentrum, Sportlaan). Another good parking location is the garage under Kloosterbempden (first 2 hours free; 5 minutes by foot to RAM and Pharmacy Museum). For more information about parking in Maaseik, see here.  

*Please note! Tickets are only available at the main desk at Markt 45, Maaseik. This includes tickets for visits to the Treasury only.

Accessibility

Wheelchair users can access the Pharmacy Museum and the Regional Archaeological Museum via the herb garden. The gate is located at Lekkerstraat 5 in Maaseik. To ensure quick access, we advise visitors wishing to make use of this entrance to contact the museum or the tourism desk in advance via visit@maaseik.be or by phone on +32 (0) 89 81 92 90.

The Treasury of Saint Catherine's Church is located in a lower-level crypt that is not accessible for wheelchair users.
