Exhibition "The Terracotta Army of Xi’an.
Treasures of the First Emperors of China."

Theme
In an exclusive exhibition for Belgium, original warrior sculptures from the Terracotta Army of Xi’an are presented. Extraordinary grave goods show how the imperial funerary cult from the Qin dynasty further developed during the subsequent Western Han dynasty. Visitors are introduced to the early days of the Chinese empire, the time when construction of the precursor of the famous Great Wall was begun.

Approximately 2200 to 2000 years old

Qin dynasty (221 to 206 BC)
Western Han dynasty (202 BC to 9 AD)
Objects
Fourteen life-sized terracotta figures, some two hundred earthenware, bronze, gold and jade objects

almost 11,000 sq ft
Activities & Events
Many large and also smaller-scaled activities related to the Chinese cultural heritage presented in the museum. All through the year, large-scale events and happenings on the theme of China will be organised.
